These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Edis Propriety Limited ABN: 15 137 474 296 (referred to as "Edis" from here on in) website. By visiting the Edis website (www.edis.com.au) you accept, and agree to, the content of these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time without notice and it is your responsibility to check regularly before ordering.
Terms of Contract
When you place an order through our website, we will treat that action as an offer to buy. Once the order is placed you will receive an e-mail confirmation and at this time we enter into a contract with you.
Product Specifications, Suitability & Warranty
All care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of published product details, specifications and suitability information however Edis cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions.
Edis will not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part(s) required for the repair of an appliance. If you have ordered a product that you deem to be unsuitable we will remedy this by providing you a suitable replacement product or a refund upon the return of the product.
Manufacturer names are used for reference only. Products listed as genuine are original parts from the manufacturer and products listed as generic, universal, equal, equivalent or replacement are compatible alternatives.
We encourage that all parts are to be installed by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications and warranty conditions. Manufacturer guarantees may be on condition that you use a qualified technician. Edis cannot be held liable for any damage and or additional costs caused by fitting a part.
All electrical, mechanical and heavy parts must be installed by appropriately qualified service people. Edis cannot be held liable for any damage and or additional costs caused by fitting a part.
New parts used in domestic applications are covered by a parts only replacement warranty of 12 months from the original invoice date. Reconditioned parts used in domestic applications are covered by a parts only replacement warranty of 6 months from the original invoice date. New parts used in commercial applications are covered by a parts only replacement warranty of 3 months from the original invoice date. Reconditioned parts used in commercial applications are covered by a parts only replacement warranty of 6 weeks from the original invoice date.
The warranty period commences on the date of the original/initial invoice and is strictly limited (at our sole discretion) to a replacement or refund. To claim warranty please contact our Customer Service Department by phone or e-mail and clearly state the reason for your claim. We will assess the validity of your claim and respond within 3 business days.
Edis cannot be held liable for any loss of warranty, damage caused, labour costs, time delays or any other expenses associated with the supply or installation of any products/parts we sell.
Availability & Estimated Delivery Times
We do our best to ensure availability of all advertised products and to despatch all orders within the quoted time. If you have ordered multiple products they may arrive separately.
Occasionally we find ourselves having to withdraw products as they have become obsolete or been discontinued. If you have placed an order for a product which is obsolete or discontinued, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative if one is available. If no alternative is available, we will refund the money you have paid to us for the particular product.
Products out of stock will automatically be placed on backorder. To find out the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) please check by using the service available through our website or contact our Customer Service Department.
Payment
Online payment can be made via our secure check out pages using Visa or MasterCard. Charges will appear on your statement as "EDIS PTY LTD".
Alternatively you can pay by cheque, money order, bank deposit or PayPal. If using PayPal please note that there are two type of payments, Instant Payment and eCheque. Instant Payment occurs when payment is funded from your PayPal cash balance, linked credit card or linked bank account with credit card as a backup funding source. eCheque occurs when payment is funded from your linked bank account and no credit card on file as a backup funding source.
If payment is made by PayPal eCheque, cheque, money order or bank deposit your order will not be despatched until the funds appear in our account.
All product prices are quoted in Australian Dollars ($) and will specify if they include or exclude Goods and Services Tax (GST) at Australian rates.
Due to the nature of our funds clearing system your credit card payment will be taken at the point of check out. If any supply issues should occur and you would like to cancel your order, we will be happy to assist you in obtaining a refund by contacting our Customer Service Department.
If your delivery address is outside Australia, you may be required to pay import duties and taxes when the order reaches your country. Duties, taxes and any additional charges for customs clearance are your responsibility.
Delivery
Orders placed through our website before 2:00pm (Sydney time) are despatched same day if you have paid by credit card, PayPal (Instant Payment) or have an account. Orders received after this time may not be despatched until the following working day.
Orders are despatched using our preferred carriers only.
For expedited services such as overnight air bags and overnight parcels please contact us for pricing and service availability. Generally this service is available for metropolitan and surrounding areas.
For deliveries outside the Australian mainland we can only supply ex works our Riverwood warehouse. The customer will need to arrange, pay and be liable for the delivery from our warehouse to their chosen destination. Please contact our Customer Service Department for more information.
Deliveries arranged by the customer or outside of Australia are the liability of the customer.
Cancellations
Products may be cancelled at any time before they are despatched. If the product has already been despatched then please see below for our returns policy.
Returns
You may request to return your order within 30 days of the original/initial invoice date. Please notify us by phone or e-mail of your intention to return your product(s) within this time and we will advise whether it can be returned. Due to the volume of orders and stock we handle, only returns with accompanying correspondence will be accepted for credit or refund.
If you have ordered the wrong product(s) or simply had a change of mind, please return it in perfect, re-saleable condition (including product packaging, instructions etc). You must not write anything on the product, its packaging or instructions. Please note that returns will be at your expense and a 10% restocking fee will be charged.
Goods received incorrectly, faulty or defective must be returned in the condition you received them. We provide a reply-paid post service for you to return the product. Please obtain proof of postage in case of any delivery issues.
Provided that you returned your product(s) in accordance with these Terms & Conditions we will refund what you have paid for the product(s) or replace or exchange the product(s) if applicable. Refunds are processed within 10 working days of receiving the returned product(s). Refunds are made using the same form of payment that was used to make the initial purchase.
Liability
We will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims.
We do our best to get all orders despatched as quickly as possible. We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time prior to the product(s) being despatched.
Privacy, Copyright & Disclaimer
We respect and appreciate your privacy. We will never sell or lend your details to any other organisation without your consent. Your details are confidential and you will never receive unsolicited mail as a result of ordering from Edis. Any information requested from you, is so that we may better serve you.
We expect you to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password for your Edis online account.
